Kerala Relief Efforts

Recent catastrophic floods have brought the Indian state of Kerala to a halt, with conditions only worsening. The current reports indicate that hundreds of people have perished and over 300,000 have been displaced, so far. The Sathya Sai International Organisation is in contact with the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation (SSSSO) of India regarding this situation. Let us all pray together to Swami to shower His divine blessings on our brothers and sisters afflicted by these floods.

Krishna Janmashtami

Join us to celebrate Krishna Janmashtami on Sunday 2nd September at Soar Valley College between 9am - 12pm.

We will be celebrating this occasion with Krishna bhajans, a talk about the significance of Krishna Janmashtami, Swami's discourse and of course Krishna Jhoola.  No doubt there will also be some fun with colours on this joyous occasion.

Sai Smaran Bhajans

The next Sai Smaran Bhajans that will be held on Saturday 8th of September; between 10:00am to 4:00pm at Heston Community School, Heston Road, Heston, Hounslow TW5 0QR.

Bhajan and Meditation Workshop

Please join us for a Regional Bhajan and Meditation workshop to be held on Saturday 15th September, 9am - 5.30pm at Ryton Village Hall, High Street, Ryton-on-Dunsmore, CV8 3EY.  Useful information and tips will be given on the day. Please see the images below for more information.

  • Meditation Workshop: 1.30pm – 5.30pm

The workshops are open to anyone who wishes to attend.

SSE Children's Prize Giving

The new SSE term starts on Sunday 2nd September.  On Sunday 16th September between 9am - 11:30am at Soar Valley College, we will be hosting the SSE Prize Giving Day, to celebrate the achievements of all the children over the last year.  The children will be singing bhajans on that day and we will have talks from the children and parents and then presenting them with their prizes.

Sai Spiritual Education (SSE) Open Day

We will be hosting a Sai Spiritual Education (SSE) Open Day on Sunday 30th September between 10:30am – 12:30pm at Soar Valley College. This event is for all existing parents of SSE children and for new parents who would like to find out more about the SSE Programme.  Please do tell any parents you think might be interested in sending their children to SSE about this event.

Centre Committee Meeting

Our next centre committee meeting is on Tuesday 11th September between 7:30pm - 9:30pm at Soar Valley College (downstairs in the community room).  We would love you to attend and share your ideas and thoughts on what we do at the centre.  Everyone is welcome to attend.

SSE Teacher's Training and Symposium

We have a wonderful SSE Teacher Development day planned this month on Sunday 23rd September 2018 at Soar Valley College, Gleneagles Avenue, Leicester, LE4 7GY.

Part 1 (9:00am – 12:00pm): SSE Teacher Training - Foundations of Sai Spiritual Education and Teaching Techniques. This is open to all new and current teachers and anyone interested in helping to teach SSE classes.  It will be specially tailored to new teachers of younger children.

Part 2 (12:30 – 4:30pm): Regional SSE Teacher's Symposium - 'Walk with S.A.I - Serve, Adore, Illumine'.  This is For all our regional SSE teams of teachers, assistants, parents, young adults and centre members to share and inspire each other with their learning and insight. 

Sunday Workshops and Speakers

Every Sunday after bhajans we try to organise a workshop, study circle or have a guest speaker  (when we don't have a special programme planned as listed above).  These normally take place in the main hall. Here are the dates for some of these:
