First of all, thank you so much for taking the time to read this newsletter!
I'm Sofi, a 16-year-old girl learning about synthetic biology, health tech, and innovation itself 🦄. My end goal is to start a startup that impacts the world positively. I also love writing articles in my Medium blog, and sharing knowledge in the 2045 Podcast. Now here's a brief story of what I did in January :)
We're apparently moving towards a COVID-related project. Our school hasn't supported us a lot, so we've been organizing a crowdfunding campaign and doing some online events to get the funds.
Dedicated to the experts, innovators, and mentors, who made a huge impact on me this month. Thank you!
I really identify so much with your passion for biology and your professional journey, Maria. Thanks for giving me some insights into what's it like to work on an iGEM project and life at Ginkgo too.
Daniel! I'd been looking forward to meeting you for so long. Getting into a lab as soon as possible so you can get out as soon as possible was the key lesson for me 😅. Thank you for your time and tips for iGEM as well.
It's crazy to think that it's been almost a year since we met on Twitter, Ivonne. It's always a pleasure to talk to you and get a student's perspective on our ideas for iGEM.
