Ramadan Nights 2021 Highlights

On the initiative of the French Institute in Egypt, AFCA organized 5 Ramadan Nights. The program contained Soufi concerts, meetings with writers as well as talks about heritage conservation. In this video, we share with you some of the happiest moments we spent during Ramadan. Enjoy!

AFCA Arts School is Back!

After a successful first phase of AFCA Arts School project that was launched in December 2020, a 2nd phase was held on April the 14th in cooperation with the AUEED in El-Minya.

This phase included a one-week workshop in both Theater and Storytelling arts provided for 24 of the children living in Mansafis village.

By the end of the workshops, the participants were able to create and perform an outstanding play and a Storytelling performance based on self-experienced situations/stories from their own life.

In this video, we collected some of our precious moments with the children during the training to share with you. Enjoy watching!
AFCA Arts School is a project funded by European Union in Egypt, in cooperation with the European Union National Institutes for Culture EUNIC.

AFCA @ Garage Program Panel

As a lead organization in the performing arts field in Egypt, AFCA Arts Center, represented by its founder and artistic director Mohamed El-Ghawy, took part in the jury of “El Garage Program panel” for the second-early stage incubation round implemented by “Nahdet El Mahrousa”. 

10 startups were shortlisted to be interviewed, then the selected ones are going to receive tailored support, training, and workshops supporting the growth of their ventures.

Spice Road in Hong Kong

The Spice Road is an international theater project organized by Théâtre de L'Ordinaire in France in partnership with AFCA and many other partners from different parts of the world. 

9 artists from 8 different countries, among whom is Isra Ghazali from Egypt, present a story about food, life, and struggle in life from the artists’ local perspective during a pandemic. 

The performance premiere took place virtually on the 15th of May in the context Of the Along the Edge Art Festival, Hong Kong.

Three more performances will be broadcasted online on June 26th at 12:00 pm & 5:00 pm, and on June 27th at 3:00 pm,  Click here to register and get the Zoom link.
