I rigged up an elaborate book shelf wooden support system to keep my college art books, graphic novels, comics and original art. Basically, I like to start stuff on the left side (board and pencil/ink), then move it on over to the right for scanning/photoshop digital manipulation. I've been through a number of computers. The reason I keep my laptop elevated is that I've ruined 3 others before it by spilling drinks on the keyboard. As an additional rule when I'm working on the computer I keep drinks on top the stool and not on the table top.
