MOVE UP SUNDAY! August 3rd

What is Move Up Day?
Move Up Day is a special Sunday when kids “graduate” to their next age or grade level class in our kids ministry! It’s our way of celebrating how they’re growing and making sure they’re in the best environment to learn, have fun, and build friendships.

Here’s how it works:

Nursery kids who are 18 months or older will move up to our Toddler Class.
Toddlers who’ve turned 3 will move up to our Preschool & Kindergarten Class.
Kids entering 1st grade will move up to our Elementary Class.

We’re excited to celebrate this milestone with your family and continue helping your kids know Jesus and grow in their faith!

YOUTH TRIBE MOVIE NIGHT! Join us this Sunday, July 13, from 6–8 PM for a fun evening of fellowship and film at the home of Pastor Marquis, 1201 Winding Path Rd, Lake Wylie. We’ll have food, drinks, and plenty of popcorn! Come relax, connect with others, and enjoy a great movie together. See you there!

Back to School Kick-Off – August 3!
Join us for a fun day at the lake as we kick off the new school year! There’ll be swimming, boating, food, games, and plenty of time to hang out with friends. It's the perfect way to wrap up summer and get excited for what's ahead. Stay tuned—more details coming soon!

Grace Waddell

This month we’re thrilled to highlight Grace Waddell, who oversees our check-in and registration and serves as our Volunteer Coordinator. For nearly every Sunday the past 4.5 years, and across an incredible 46 years of serving in many roles, including 15 as a Deacon, Grace’s heart has always been with kids. “It’s a no-brainer,” she says. “Raising children to know the unconditional love of Jesus builds a foundation that endures.” It’s no surprise that someone who once spent three years spreading joy as her high school’s Elk mascot now pours that same joy into welcoming families each week. When you see Grace, be sure to give her a smile and a heartfelt thank you for all she does to make Community Kids so special!

Marquis oversees the kids & youth ministries of Community Church at Lake Wylie. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Christian Ministries from Gordon College and is an ordained minister. He lives in Lake Wylie with his wife and three kids.
