More often than not, May brings long sunny blue sky days, which undoubtedly lead to glorious sunsets, just like the one below. Just imagine the tranquility of sitting at Friars Crag, enjoying this view, or how about spending time enjoying the wonderful gardens in Hope Park (above).
As well as better and warmer weather, May brings two Bank Holidays, a half-term holiday, and the Keswick Mountain Festival. With all this going on, it is best to get your accommodation booked early via our website, visitkeswick.com, and don't forget it is packed with information and ideas for things to do.

Re-imagining Goldilocks at Keswick Museum
|
|
A new exhibition at Keswick Museum celebrates the 250th
anniversary of the birth of one of Keswick’s most famous characters – Poet
Laureate and writer of the Three Bears tale Robert Southey.
Southey was a prolific and influential poet, essayist,
historian, travel-writer and biographer who lived with his family at Greta Hall
in Keswick from 1803 onwards. This new exhibition reveals the many different
versions of the classic ‘Three Bears’ fairytale for which Southey became
famous. From Goldilocks to Puss in Boots and everything in between, the
exhibition explores what stories we tell when we reimagine classic tales.
Free entry with museum admission.
