Spring Wildflower Walk
Saturday, May 7 from 10 to 11 am. Meets in the Waterfall Lot of Sweet Arrow Lake County Park, Pine Grove. Join Porcupine Pat and check out the different plants that we see along our trek that starts at the Waterfall Road Pavilion.
Long Loop Hike at Tuscarora State Park
Join Naturalist Robin Tracey on the Crow, Lake View, and Spirit Trails on Saturday, May 7, 2022, at 10 am. The hike is 7 miles in length and moderate in difficulty. This hike combines the best of the trails in Tuscarora State Park. Meet in the Crow Trail parking lot off of Tuscarora Mountain Road. This is a dog-friendly hike, but all pets must be leashed and get along with other pets and people. You must register by calling Robin at 570-467-2506. No walk-ins. Shine only and bring a lunch.
Spring Moonlit Hike at Hawk Mountain Sanctuary
Saturday, May 14 from 8 - 10:30 Join Hawk Mountain staff on a guided hike by moonlight to North Lookout! Begin the program with a meet and greet with a LIVE nocturnal raptor in our Visitor Center Gallery, and learn about the nocturnal creatures and the adaptations that help them to hunt and survive at night.
Hike two miles of rough, rocky, and uneven terrain with moderate inclines and descents. This hike demands moderate to the advanced hiking experience. Participants should be comfortable walking on rocky trails in the dark. Please wear sturdy shoes for hiking, and bring water, a backpack, and snacks. Headlamps are encouraged for hands-free hiking (red light lamps preferred!), but flashlights are welcomed as well.

Spring Bird Walk
Sunday, May 15th from 9:00 - 11:00 am, meet at Waterfall Pavilion of Sweet Arrow Lake County Park, Pine Grove. Join local naturalist Denise “Nightowl” Donmoyer. Locate and identify from sight and song, resident and migratory species that inhabit the Park. Maybe even see a Bald Eagle. Meet in the Waterfall parking lot for this program that is free and open to beginning and experienced birdwatchers. Be sure to wear appropriate footwear and bring binoculars. The walk will be canceled in the event of rain. Call 570-345-8952 for information.
