Summer Reading is in full swing. Summer Reading Program. This year's theme is All Together Now. The main library and all three branches have exciting programs and awesome take and make crafts. Be sure to sign up if you haven't yet!

Bookopoly

New Addition to Adult Summer Reading: Bookopoly is Here!  

Exciting news! We've added Bookopoly to our adult summer reading program. Swing by the library to pick up your board starting June 1st and embark on a captivating literary journey. Plus, explore our book display and earn tickets for a chances to win unique Monopoly boards. Don't miss out on this fun fusion of books and games!

Monday July 3rd -1:30pm AND 3 pm -  Summer reading speaker and craft program. Michaela Poeppelman from Floral Reflections will be here. The craft will be CD planters. Door prizes will be awarded.

Monday, July 10th at 1:30pm AND 3 pm -  Summer reading speaker and craft program.  Father Mark Hoying will be here.  The craft will be a Cheerios bird feeder.  Door prizes will be awarded.

Tuesday, July 11th - 6:30 pm - Family night.  The craft will be a snail.  Door prizes will be awarded.

Monday July 17th - 1:30pm AND 3 pm  -Summer reading speaker and craft program.  Connie McEldowney from Rustic Hope will be here.  Extra secret code will be given out to all who donate to this organization (list of what is needed will be at the library or on our Facebook page).  Craft will be hugging hands.  Door prizes will be awarded.

Thursday, July 20th from 6:30 to 7:30 pm.  --  Lego night.  No age limit.  Parental supervision required as some pieces are rather small.  Lego night is held on the third Thursday of every month.

Friday, July 21st at 1pm -- At the Marion Local Elementary Gym.  End of summer reading party.  Entertainment will be provided by "Madcap Puppets".  Fire truck rides and prizes will be awarded.

Book Discussion

Wednesday July 5th  at 7pm--  Book discussion group to meet.  Book being discussed is Behind Closed Doors by B. A. Paris. 

The book for next month will be Good Luck With That by Kristan Higgins.

  • Story time is held every Thursday morning at 10:30 am.  Receive a secret code if you attend a July story time by Thursday, July 13th.
  • Senior Citizens play cards every Thursday afternoon at 1:30 pm.  Just drop in.

Monday, July 10th: Summer Reading Program Special Guest: Wuebker's Family Farm at 12:30! Come and hear what life is like on the farm! (There will also be a secret code for online reading program participants.)

Wednesday, July 12th at 10:00am: Summer Reading Program Special Guest: St. Henry Volleyball Team! We will be playing beach towel volleyball with water balloons! (There will be a secret code for online reading program participants.)

Monday, July 17th at 3:00pm: Summer Reading Program Special Guest: St. Henry Golf Team! The golf team will be here to play water balloon golf with us! (There will be a secret code for online reading program participants.)

Tuesday, July 18th we will be having a Kindness Rocks event! We will have river rocks here to paint with positive and inspiring messages! Registration is required to make sure we have enough for everyone, but you are free to stop in anytime between noon and 6:00pm to paint your rock!

 

Silly Hour

Wednesdays in July 5th,12th,19th at 10:00 am:

We will be having Silly Hour in the basement of the library, this event is open to ages 0-6.

Thursday, July 20th at 6:00pm -- Classic Movie in the basement. No registration required. We will be watching "Goodbye Charlie" starring Debbie Reynolds and Tony Curtis. Hope to see you there!
