A road less traveled doesn’t make it any less of an adventure! Check out these fun pics from our long and winding trip from the Central Valley (near the little town of LeGrand) to the foothills on a long and winding road called: White Rock Road.

This goes from flat ag land to 2,000’ elevation, past rolling grazing hills, a dam we never knew existed (notice the poppies across the length of it), a magnificent pile of sand to scale, and a gurgling creek with the skeleton of a cow in it.

As we climbed upward, the terrain changed to giant boulders. This one we dubbed: Butt Cheek Rock….until we rounded the curve in the road. Then, it became Butt Hole Rock. 😉

We also stopped to pay our respects at a very old cemetery obviously compromised by the same flood that changed the course of our creek a few years back. It was sad to see the damage, but a few of the headstones had new flowers, which made me happy.

Finally, right before the road made a steep climb to the top of the summit, we had this stunning view of the valley below. 

The drive downhill went much faster. 😉

This turned out to be a super interesting question. To my surprise (I’m routinely, surprised, aren’t I?), 98% of those who answered said, “Yes. I love where I am.” Your positivity positively made my day—especially in these difficult times.
