Case Study in Review Integrity: Embellished Credentials in a Grant Application

Have you ever been tempted to embellish your credentials in a grant application? What about fabricating credentials? Would this be a case of research misconduct or a violation of review integrity? This series is to raise awareness, encourage dialog, and inspire creative problem solving of the challenges in maintaining integrity in peer review. Click here.

Faculty Scholarly Awards

Kyle Sweitzer has worked with Academic Analytics data to develop a report of faculty scholarly awards by department. These files provide another view of faculty scholarly award recognition. This displays each faculty member’s percentile rank in their field nationally, and then also shows the number of honorific awards the given faculty member has won. It’s a way to get a quick view of which faculty may be under-recognized, and likewise who your award committees should proactively nominate for an award.
