OUTSIDE EVERY DAY CHALLENGE / RETO DE CADA DIA AFUERA πŸž πŸŒ» 🌲

With schools closed and activities cancelled, it is more important than ever to get kids outside. Time outside is critical to the physical and mental health and well-being of our children.

Con las escuelas cerradas y las actividades canceladas, es mΓ‘s importante que nunca salir al aire libre diariamente. El tiempo afuera es crΓtico para el bienestar fΓsico y mental de nuestros hijos.

Make a pledge to get the children you care for Outside Every Day!
Β‘Haga la promesa de sacar a sus niΓ±os afuera todos los dΓas!
The outdoors is not just for kids, it's for ALL of us. πŸƒπŸŒ²

We can all use a little fresh air these days. Treat yourself and your family to the stress-relieving, immunity-boosting, feel-good-vibes that only nature can provide.

Stay wild. Stay safe. Stay close to home. 🏑

Want to plant May flowers? 🌼

As part of Roaring Fork Outdoor Volunteers' β€œMy Window, Our World” initiative, Lowe’s and Eagle Crest Nursery have donated cardboard pots, wildflower seeds, and soil to create seed kits for students to grow at home. RFOV has already distributed over 1,400 seed kits to students throughout our area! These kits are a great way for students to get their hands dirty, ask interesting research questions, and engage in the stewardship of living things.

Do you know a student who would like a seed kit? πŸŒΌπŸŒΌ

>>Please contact info@rfov.org with your name and quantity of kits you would like. πŸŒΌ

Garfield School District 16 | Outdoor Education 🌱

This May 9-10 weekend would have been the annual 3-D Archery Shoot, but that event has been canceled.

In the near future, a publication will be produced that will feature ways to get outside and nearby locations to do so. 🧾

Garfield 16 School District's Outdoor Education Department looks forward to continued outdoor programming when possible. 🌟

We wish a very happy "Congratulations" to all of the graduating seniors! πŸ‘©β€πŸŽ“πŸ‘¨β€πŸŽ“  It's a weird time out there, but your accomplishments are no less significant. We also extend our sincere appreciation and well wishes to our Grand Valley High School interns who are graduating this year, Jocelyn MuΓ±oz and Dylan MuellerπŸŽ“

Outdoor assignments have so far included individual scavenger hunts, hikes, and even grilled meals for their families (pictured above)!

In the final few weeks of the school year, students will take an in-depth look at how to plan, organize, and carry out a large group, weekend-long camping trip.
