Emergency Assistance Fund

Madison College understands that many of our students are experiencing financial challenges due to COVID-19. The College has assistance available to students who encounter emergencies for unexpected expenses related to job loss, temporary layoff, coronavirus medical expenses, utilities, housing/rent, or food insecurity. All assistance is paid on the student’s behalf to a third party. Funding is available to financial aid and non-financial aid students.

Important: Reminder to File your IRS Tax Forms

The tax deadline has been extended until July 15th.

As a nonresident in the U.S. you have a tax filing obligation with the IRS, even if you did not receive U.S. income.

Failure to file can lead to complications when applying for U.S. visas in the future.

Madison College has arranged free access to Sprintax Tax Preparation for you. Sprintax will guide you through the tax preparation process, arrange the necessary documents and check if you are due a tax refund.

All you need to do is:

  • Register and follow the simple instructions
  • Complete the online questionnaire
  • Enter your unique code SpTx2019MC51F in the box on the 'Review your order' page
  • Sprintax will prepare your tax return

Finally, once you complete the preparation process in the Sprintax software, you must print, sign and mail your documents to the IRS.

If you have any questions, the Sprintax team will be happy to help via their 24/7 live chat facility.
