Dear Romance Reader!
I hope all is well with you! Things are good here. I'm still trying to catch my breath after the whirlwind of the past few months. (At least I'm hoping that life will slow down a bit now that the holidays are almost over!)
I've had a good last few days with my family. We usually spend Christmas Eve with either my side or my husbands side of the family, but this year, Jared's family had their holiday party on the 17th and my family will all be getting together at my house this coming Friday, so for the first time, we were just home with my own little family on Christmas Eve.
Which was actually really nice.
This time of year has been a bit trickier for me the past few years as I've changed and evolved and some of the traditions that are important to my extended family, no longer fit my own little family the way they used to.
So it was nice being able to just do the traditions that we connect with and enjoy and not take part in the ones that remind me of how I will be a permanent disappointment in many family member's eyes for having differing beliefs from them.
Okay...that got heavy quick. 😳 Let's just say that I connect with Hunter from The Confidant quite a bit and have my own issues that I'm still navigating my way through. 😬
Anyway, one of the things that we love doing is to visit our local Make-A-Wish house on Christmas Eve and get a family photo in our favorite spot. So I'll just leave you with this years version of that. 😉
