One of the things I like about running this newsletter are the occasional replies, where someone has shared what they found interesting or inspiring. Please don’t hesitate to do the same – I read all replies!
This week’s design lesson
This is a lesson from the Tiny Design Lessons ebook.
Add more human elements to your design
By infusing humour and personality into designs, you can create a better connection and a more memorable experience. People find delight in the small details and it can also build trust.
Add humour to a website 404 page or an app error state.
Use more regular expression in your text (but not at the expense of clarity).
Add hand-drawn graphic details to your layout or UI.
Show awareness of friction points by adding gentle humour or gratification on completion.
This is a clever little tool to screenshot tweets for use in your marketing. You can do them manually from a link, automatically in Twitter or even with their API.
