Phew! What a busy month ...

Hi, I can't believe it's a month already since I last sent my monthly email to you.

March has been a fab month ... I finished writing my latest thriller - Who To Trust - and I published my latest sci-fi novel - Phase 6.

I also attended the Crime & Publishment event, which was packed with crime and thriller authors, and I've just returned from a week in the Scottish Highlands where I've been taking pictures and recording videos to support my book Burden of Guilt which is based in that area.

Read on and I'll reveal all the details!

All the best,

Paul Teague

What I'm writing ...

With Who To Trust now in editing, I'm getting ready to begin draft 1 of my next thriller. I'm writing this one with the specific objective of pitching it to Bloodhound Books and - hopefully - ending up on this page. This will be a 90k word book and I'll have draft 1 completed by end July.

My random thing ...

Living in the North of England, it's great when somebody organises a crime event right on your doorstep. At the beginning of this month I attended an excellent crime/thriller event called Crime & Publishment. It's a great opportunity to meet with other writers and discuss gruesome ways that we can kill off our characters!

This month's picture gallery ...

I've just returned from a week in the Scottish Highlands. It was mostly play, but I also squeezed in some work. Spean Bridge is the main location in my thriller Burden of Guilt so while I was in the area, I took photos of key locations and recorded short videos there. When I get them processed, they'll appear on my author website at https://paulteague.net/

What I'm watching ...

Words can't express how much I enjoyed season 3 of Gomorrah. What a series! It's an Italian crime drama and I love it! It's based on the book by Roberto Saviano and, if you've ever seen the film, don't be put off by that. This is brilliant TV.

What I'm reading ...

Every now and then you read the blurb for a book and think to yourself I must read that now. That's how I was with No Exit, which has just been snapped up by 20th Century Fox. I haven't even read it yet ... but I'll be dropping everything to make a start on this.

Early Warning!
