Thank you once again to all our supervisors who were able to join us last Friday for our Annual Supervisor Appreciation Luncheon! It was great to see all of you.

This year, the Corporate Work Study Department introduced a new award - Supervisor of the Year. This award recognizes a supervisor who has shown valuable mentorship for their student associates and commitment to the Corporate Work Study program.

In the spirit of Earth Day, our dedicated students have been actively engaging in environmental care projects across our community. This month, we shine a spotlight on one remarkable student who took part in a meaningful initiative at San Francisco Boy’s & Girl’s Home organization.

Junior student associate Bella Z. (‘25) rolled up her sleeves and dove into a day of greenery and goodwill. Together, Bella,  Darlene Wilson, the Manager of Volunteer Services, and the team at Catholic Charities breathed new life into the gardens at San Francisco Boy’s & Girl’s Home program. Their efforts beautified the surroundings and created a restorative green space for the clients to enjoy.

Bella was able to engage in everything from weeding to planting with skill and dedication. But it wasn't just about getting her hands dirty; it was about fostering connections, both with her fellow volunteers and the staff at her worksite.

As we commemorate Earth Day, Bella's involvement serves as a shining example of the impact that individuals can have when they come together for a common cause.

Let us applaud Bella, Darlene Wilson, and all the students who are actively working towards a greener, more sustainable future. Together, we can make a world of difference, one garden at a time!
