Hi Romance Reader!
I hope things are well for you. I've been trying to be a little healthier lately and have started waking up at 5:30 am to go to the gym 3 mornings a week. So I'm a bit tired, but things are good.
Now...to get right into why I titled this email "That was close...".
Yes...that is totally referencing to how my husband and I were worried for a minute that our neighbors might call the fire department because we had a ton of smoke coming from our backyard on Friday evening.
Were we in danger, no...at least, I don't think so. But lets just say that we were a little "surprised" by how big a certain cardboard fire got.
Basically, we recently got some furniture for our patio delivered from Costco. Well, that furniture came in some really big boxes and after having them sit in the middle of our yard for a couple of weeks, my husband and I decided they needed to go.
We are signed up for recycling in our area, so we considered cutting the boxes down so they didn't take up a ton of space...but we were also feeling a little lazy and thought, hmm, maybe we could just burn the boxes.
Yeah...we're basically geniuses. π
Anyway, on Friday, we stacked all the boxes together in the middle of our yard. (Which is currently just dirt since we still don't have grass after hiring a landscaper a year ago. π¬)
I grabbed the lighter, Jared grabbed the hose (just in case) and then we lit the boxes up.
