The Refugee Week ‘Slow Conference’ is almost coming to a close, and we’d love you to join us for the finale session next Thursday 11 March (11am – 1pm).

Over the past month, hundreds of us have come together to discuss and share learning on a wide range of topics, from reaching new audiences to supporting lived experience leadership (you can find videos and resources from the workshops here).

The conference finale will be an opportunity to hear reflections on what we’ve learned over the course of the Conference, share Refugee Week plans and make connections with others in the movement across the UK and beyond.

Whether you’ve been part of the Refugee Week Slow Conference already or haven’t been able to join us yet, everyone is welcome.

Following a period of consultation with our network, we’re delighted to share the new Refugee Week Theory of Change, which sets out the difference we want Refugee Week to make, and how we believe this can be achieved.

For the first time, it also identifies a set of shared values and principles for the Refugee Week network.

We hope the document will be useful resource for everyone thinking about taking part in Refugee Week, this year and beyond.

Following a request from Refugee Week Slow Conference attendees, we have set up a Googlegroup email list for our network to share learning about projects they are involved in.

Mafwa Theatre, a community theatre company which brings refugees, asylum seekers and settled communities together, is looking for mentors to support their Associate Artists. Details
