Schoolboy Ranveer Singh Sandhu is known as the UK's youngest accountant and started studying financial literacy aged 9 years old

A Thornton Heath teenager who started his own accountancy business when he was only 12 has won an award for helping other children learn how to look after money.

Ranveer Singh Sandhu, 14, has been running his own company for two years and
won the Tech Business of the Year 2017 prize at the Ultra Education Kids Business Awards held at PriceWaterhouse Coopers' office in London in November.

UPCOMING KIDS ENTREPRENEURSHIP WORKSHOPS

Ranveer began studying financial literacy when he was about nine and initially used Microsoft Office Excel to set up his business but then developed his own software to create a digital accounts service for 10 to 18-year-olds.

He came up with the idea while Ultra Education’s weekly meetings, where under 18s take part in extra-curricular business studies activities at Matthews Yard in Croydon town centre.
