Greetings everyone!
It's been 3 weeks since my last newsletter. Here's what you may have missed:
June in a nutshell:
- I completed cutting out the templates for my newest silhouette, and shipped it off to the factory first week of June. They're just waiting to get the pictures back from the photographer and it's slated to launch in early July! WOOHOO 🎉
- I also wrote a tutorial on how I saved myself some $400 in laser cutting services by getting a Cricut machine and cutting the corset templates myself. - I am almost full recovered from my bad bout of pneumonia last month - it's taken a full 4 weeks for my voice to return and for my energy to return, which means I'm back on the horse with my next project!
What I'm working on now:
Believe it or not, not all of my old patterns have been fully digitized! Some of the paper patterns from 2015 in Thailand were lost or damaged (including the original hourglass short, standard and longline styles) and I'm working with what I can in order to digitize and clean up the patterns.
I'm also making some tweaks for improvement, as I've somewhat honed my pattern drafting skills in the past decade. The factory doesn't really want my changed patterns (because why mess with a good thing, when customers already know and love the originals) but at least I will soon have my full range of master templates digitized and ready, which will serve as the new base for any future designs 🤞🏽
