I was just in Washington DC last week. My daughter will be graduating from college this spring and moving down there for a summer internship, so we were checking out housing and getting the lay of the land. (Gack, TRAFFIC!) While we were there, we took a side trip to Monticello, the home of Thomas Jefferson. Besides marveling at the beauty of the architecture and the setting, we viewed some very cool antique maps and relics from Lewis and Clark's expedition.
