American Friends of Likud is excited to congratulate our dear friend, Gilad Erdan, on his appointment to serve as Israel's next Ambassador to the US in Washington, D.C. and the Ambassador to the UN in New York.
Throughout his political career, Gilad Erdan has been a leader within the Likud party and has held numerous leadership positions including Minister of Environmental Protection, Min. of Communications and Homefront Defense Minister in the 32nd Knesset, and currently as Minister of Internal Security, Minister of Strategic Affairs and Minister of Information.
We welcome Ambassador Erdan to the US and look forward to his energy as the new representative and defender of the State of Israel in the most prominent of diplomatic arenas.
At the same time, we also want to express our deep and profound appreciation to outgoing Ambassadors Ron Dermer and Danny Danon for their incredible service in Israeli diplomacy.
