The Office of Diversity and Inclusion (ODI) invites you to the 2020 LEGACY SUMMER BOOTCAMP — a virtual leadership and mentorship development boot camp for the first generation, under-represented & minority college students and alongside the entire campus community.
The COVID-19 pandemic and the recent protests over the inequality and injustice in our world have altered college students’ daily lives in numerous ways—some of which may be here to stay—causing us to redefine our concept of “normal.” These game-changing disruptive variables are impacting learning systems, macrosystems and economies, and have led to a fundamental change in how we live, learn and interact with each other daily.
At this boot camp, there will be featured UCF professionals and academics who would remotely champion a conversation that would help our entire community shift gears and restructure our global perspectives in a wholesome manner. The sessions will be centered around the following disruptive frontiers:
- Expunging the narrow-minded atomistic thinking - the root cause of all problems that make life complicated.
- Strategic identification of problems and deepening how to visualize the big picture.
- Holistic thinking and creatively designing a better future to enrich learning and living.
- Connecting the right dots that redesign and reinvent transformational excellence.
This event is open to the UCF community and will take place Tuesday, July 28, 2020, at noon via Zoom. You can view more information and the invited speakers here.
