We know this year's Scouting for Food will be even better than last year. In 2024, the Michigan Crossroads Council had 23 out of 27 districts participate, 264 units participated, and 123,000+ pounds of food was collected, which means 102,000+ meals were provided to those in need. In the 12 year history of the Michigan Crossroads Council, Scouting for Food has collected 1.7+ million pounds of food.
Please save the dates, November 1st (Bag/Flyer Distribution) and November 8th (Collection). The website will also provide a wealth of knowledge for those experienced and new to Scouting for Food.
We would request that each unit assign a Scouting for Food Coordinator to help with getting registered and overall communication of Scouting for Food from the council or district to their unit. We also still have several districts without an assigned Scouting for Food Chair, so if you are interested please email Scouting for Food Committee Chair Jason Richter at scoutingforfood@michiganscouting.org.
