Great Backpack Challenge Talent Show Update

Wow!  Thanks to Judy Wahlstrom and everyone who supported our children and youth in the most excellent Great Backpack Challenge Talent Show last Sunday.  Everyone performed beautifully and most importantly, they have already met their $800 goal for the year.  So we are raising our goal and we say "Yeah young people!"  Thanks for leading in our efforts to provide school supplies to needy kids in our community.  Check out all the great pics here!

Songwriter's Gathering November 3

We are hosting another Songwriter's Gathering (thanks Julie and John!) on Saturday, November 3 from 4 - 7.  Check out the info on our website and come render a tune or just listen to all the great music.

Children's Choir

Rehearsals are at 1:30 p.m. on each Sunday afternoon except the Sundays when they lead in worship.  If you have interested children or know of any in the neighborhood, please encourage them to come and join in the fun!  Please contact Lauren for the official rehearsal schedule each month as the calendar is subject to change. NOTE:  This Sunday we will be doing an in-home visit with one our shut-in families and will be bringing them communion and singing for them.

Council Meeting November 11

If you are on Council, please plan to be with us for our regularly scheduled monthly meeting on the second Sunday of the month (November 11) right after worship.  We will have a representative from Thrivent with us to discuss our investments as well as to speak in our worship service that morning on the good work Thrivent does on behalf of Lutherans around the world.

Congregational Meeting and Potluck Fellowship

Following worship on Sunday, November 18 we will have our monthly potluck fellowship meal and Annual Congregational Meeting for the approval of the next year's budget.  Please come and be with us as we share some great food and fun as well doing the church's business together.

Worship Leadership

Thanks to all who have signed up for new roles in worship leadership.  The new monthly worship leadership list  is posted on our website for November moving forward.  And as always, if you can't cover a particular Sunday just be sure and let us know in advance.

Cleaning God's House

Since we no longer have our former tenants cleaning our church, we are trying out a period of "clean as you go."  We are asking everyone to pitch in when you can.  If you have a few minutes and see something that needs to be cleaned, "get 'er done!"  Ask if you need help finding any supplies.
