Sun 25 April: ANZAC Day Regatta – CYA Series event
HARKEN-FOSTERS KENNEDY BAY YACHT & LAUNCH RACE – SATURDAY 27 MARCH 2021
4.00PM ONWARDS ON SHORE - PARTY TIME
Featuring Aaron Carpenter and his band, for dancing into the night. A BBQ is available on shore – AND the Lewis’s fantastic L’Authentique sausages (real and vegan) will be on offer again for a gold coin donation - or bring your own steaks to cook.
There is a Mark Foy style race/cruise for those who like to nudge the throttle a wee bit, it’s a handicap event where the start time is generated from your vessel's theoretical cruise speed, with an allowance for lead feet at the start and finish. When you enter you will be given a time to be at the start line - a line between Orakei Wharf and the yellow Orakei Racing Buoy. When your start time appears on the GPS clock, go for it :)
More details emailed to the entrants closer to the day.
The goal is the launches racing/cruising all to arrive at Kennedy Bay at a similar time, (assuming the handicapper has used the calculator properly). Prizes in this instance for first, second and third over the line.
For launches and any yachts who haven't entered the race and paid the race fee, if you pay a $20 entry fee you will go in the draw to win some fabulous spot prizes including vouchers from Harken-Fosters. NB. You MUST register to be eligible.

PONSONBY CC VINTAGE & VETERANS RACE – SUNDAY 11 APRIL 2021
Due to the postponement of the ABD Group Classic Regatta and the subsequent clash with the Vintage & Vets Race on Sunday 11 April, this race has been removed from the CYA Series. Amendments are posted online and while there is already a ‘free’ race in the discounted Series Entry fees, we are happy to either credit or refund the $35 entry fee if notified by 25 April 2021 with bank a/c number for a transfer.
The Vintage & Veterans race is still happening, as is the after-match event, and Ponsonby Cruising Club would be delighted to receive your entry if you wish to take part - download entry form
EASTER RALLY – NORTH COVE, KAWAU ISLAND SATURDAY 3 APRIL 2021
Rally entries will be taken at Pardey's wharf and boatyard shed at North Cove. Look for the flags on the wharf. $10 entry fee - includes hotdogs or sausages on the wharf from 11am and before the noon briefing. Course will be set at the briefing, probably around the Kawau Bay Islands as usual. Start times will be posted after the briefing. The start/finish will be between the west cardinal mark on the reef on the southern side of North Cove and the western end of Pembles Island (Tangaroa) to the north. The first boat to finish is to take the finish order.
At 1800hrs a BBQ and prize-giving held ashore at Lin Pardey’s House.
Bring your food (to cook on the BBQ) and your drinks - and the rum will be brought out at the prize-giving.
