2020 Women's Retreat - Women Creating Community

Paint Branch Unitarian Universalist Church in Adelphi, MD

Recreate, breathe, rejuvenate! Our all-day retreat for women includes three sessions of inspirational workshops, breakfast and lunch, and opening and closing ceremonies. First, we will enjoy breakfast and creating our own personalized nametags. Then we will gather in our opening circle to get to know one another better. Next we will disperse to workshops, with different topics available. We will share a delicious lunch and more opportunity to get to know our fellow participants. Then then are two more workshop sessions, with unique choices available in each session. Finally we gather in community one more time for a final ceremony and reflection on our opportunities for the year ahead. Please join us. Leave revitalized and renewed!

APRIL 24–26

REVOLUTIONARY LOVE: Toward A More Perfect Union

For the last 13 years, Middle Collegiate Church in New York City has been hosting a phenomenal conference dedicated to multifaith, multiracial justice organizing. More than half of the participants are usually UUs, who come back inspired for the work in their congregations and communities. The 2020 conference theme is Toward a More Perfect Union, and it’ll be at All Souls Church in DC this April 24-26. With inspiring movement-builders like Ruby Sales, Valarie Kaur, angel Kyodo Williams, Brian McLaren, Linda Sarsour, and William Barber, we will gather to learn, strategize, and share best practices for taking love and justice out into the streets in this critical year.  If you have questions about the conference, contact Rev. Rob Keithan, Minister for Social Justice at All Souls, rkeithan@allsouls.ws.
