Best Sellers is 7!

Hannah Gadbsy Ten Steps to Nanette

Circle's Community Best Sellers has been running for over seven years now!! Rich with stats it tracks the top 50 titles each month from Circle's independent bookselling community. In March 2015 the top selling book was Kazuo Ishiguro’s “The Buried Giant”. Can you remember back that far?

This month last year, Ishiguro's, “Klara and the Sun” sold a whopping 2,150 copies. This popular title is still on the list today, albeit a bit further down at #42. Take a step back in time...… Visit the bestsellers blog

Updates Last Month

In April the good work continued on the Circle gift card system. These are now ready for beta testing. Videos and detailed help files will be released soon. Another new feature developed was the ability to post completed credit notes to accounts payable. This is in a feature flag so contact support if you would like to try it.

System upgrade work continued including framework, speed and database improvements.

We are currently working on integrating returns credit notes into accounts payable. We also changed the monthly purchase order stat from purchases to use accounts payable to solve the issue of the data changing as orders are filled. Backoffice > Purchases > By Month. Highly recommend a look at this as this report has interesting implications for order budgeting (you can't sell what you don't have!).

Currently working on:

  • Rails 6 Upgrade
  • Circle Gift Card
  • Xero Integration Improvements
  • Bug Fixes

Christchurch Ōtautahi World Premiere

Behrouz

Feature documentary, BEHROUZ will have its world premiere in Christchurch, on Saturday, 11 June.

The film tells the story of award-winning Kurdish journalist and writer Behrouz Boochani. He fled the Iranian regime, seeking asylum in Australia in 2013, only to be exiled to the offshore immigration detention centre on the remote Manus Island in Papua New Guinea.

Unfortunately for us we will be in Sydney at the ABA conference!

Australians can attend the Aussie Premiere in July at the ACMI, Melbourne.
