I’m sorry that it’s been a while since my last newsletter, but The Able Archers has kept me very busy!
First, I’m proud to announce that The Able Archers has won several book awards for 2022:
- Winner of 16th Annual National Indie Excellence Award for Best Military Fiction
- Finalist in the 16th Annual National Indie Excellence Award for Best Historical Fiction
- Finalist in the 2022 Next Generation Indie Book Award for Historical Fiction
Second, I recently was invited to participate as an on-camera expert in Netflix’s upcoming Turning Point
documentary series on the Cold War. The director and producer flew to Washington and filmed a lengthy interview with me concerning the Soviet War Crisis of 1983. The new series is expected to air in the spring or summer of 2023.
Third, since returning to the Washington, D.C., area from our winter home in Florida, I’ve also spoken to several think tank audiences and a number of book clubs. Those events have been both in-person and virtual and have been extremely well received, with each session having a different ‘spin’ on The Able Archers. We have a busy summer planned of book talks and signings in Washington and Nantucket. View my schedule here.
If you know of a book club or an organization that would be interested in having me as a guest speaker, please contact me at brian@brianjmorra.com
Lastly, I want to thank everyone who has bought a copy of The Able Archers, published by Koehler Books! Of course, I’d appreciate it if you’d refer your friends, history buffs, and intelligence thriller fans to purchase The Able Archers at my website. It’s a great summer vacation read!
