Hello Friends!

Happy Friday! "Welcome back to "The Cre8tive Life!"- your weekly newsletter full of lifestyle tips, smiles, and cool things to check out!

This week has been quite eventful for me. One of my best friends (shout out to Whitney) was in town for a work trip; and, brought her Mother and Godmother to tag along for the ride in seeing "The Big Apple." I excitedly offer to host them, and took them to a few talk shows and some "only in New York" experiences. They were a riot and a true joy to my week---(and, I have pretty much officially adopted them). Additionally, I helped with a big inaugural tasting event (Dinner on 8th) in Greenwich Village. And, lastly, I have been operating in "super fan" mode for one of my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE ARTISTS, Raphael Saadiq, and have seen him in a couple concerts this week---definitely a HUGE highlight (with a bonus of talking with him and taking a few pictures)

Be sure to check out my random pictures, video highlights, stories, and other life musings on my personal instagram page (@e101) and official brand page (@thecre8tiveartisan) throughout the week as well!

I hope that you have a great weekend, and upcoming week!

My weekly (random) compilation of some of my favorite "cre8tive" things that I want to share:

  • FAVORITE WORD: Kopfkino: (noun) The act of playing out an entire scenario in your mind. Literally, head cinema.

  • ADVICE:  "Be thankful for closed doors, detours, and roadblocks. They protect you from paths and places not meant for you."

  • MOOD MUSIC: This week's music mood is solely inspired by the man I have been listening to all week, Raphael Saadiq. He has recently put out a new album, Jimmy Lee, and "I'm Feeling Love" has quickly become one of my favorites. ***And, if you don't know who this man is, you MUST familiarize yourself immediately!

  • NEW FOOD I LIKE: Spicy Grilled Octopus---I just discovered that I like this at the Dinner on 8th event, courtesy of Claudette (I can't officially vouch for any others yet)

  • FEEL GOOD STORY: THIS STORY of two people who randomly ended up singing a duet in Walmart just melted my heart. (And, the "Hopeful Romantic" in me hopes they end up turning into a beautiful love story 😍).

  • RANDOM LIFE TIP: Adding two handfuls of salt to a cooler will chill your drinks much faster.

  • SOMETHING I WANT TO (MAYBE) TRY:  A part of me is really intrigued by this Grilled Cheese Pancakes recipe I stumbled upon...if someone makes it, PLEASE let me know what you think!

I have again failed at getting back to my traditional musing of writing 😔(perhaps it is chopped up to my inner Gemini mood).  But, never fear, I am still leaving you with this little motivational bit I found from a friend's posting, and am sincerely hoping that you will be as inspired by it as I was.

This week I challenge you to actively do something outside of your comfort zone that will enable you to see your life from a different lens!

Thank you to everyone that has filled out the survey! I will be sharing some upcoming events that I have been working on in the next couple of newsletters- so stay tuned for more info and invites!

For those who haven't filled out the survey, I can definitely still use your feedback. So, if you have not done so already, please take  5 minutes to fill out:

Thanks sooooooo much in advance for your time!

Lastly, if you happen to have any future topic ideas, or come across any events I should know about, PLEASE feel free to send those along my way. I always LOVE discovering and learning about new things!
