Prayer requests from Resonate Global Mission missionaries and ministry leaders
Prayer Points

Prayer Points from ministry leaders around the world:

  • It's Pentecost on Sunday, May 31! Give thanks that the Holy Spirit, who raised Jesus from the dead, is now living in us! Ask the Spirit to guide Resonate ministry leaders and CRC congregations as we join God on mission. Pray that we will be attentive to the Holy Spirit and follow wherever the Spirit leads.

  • Resonate missionaries Ken and Jeannie Lee, who serve in Japan, give thanks that they were able to help lead a retreat for young adults who are part of the Reformed Church in Japan. Because it was held virtually, the number of participants more than doubled! Pray for these young adults—ask the Holy Spirit to go with them into every facet of their life.

  • Give thanks for Manqoba. When he moved to Michigan from South Africa for his PhD, God worked in his heart. Manqoba gave his life to Christ, and now he's growing in faith with the community of International Campus Ministry, a Resonate partner at Western Michigan University. Pray for Manqoba as he continues to walk with Jesus and share his faith with others.

  • The pandemic has been financially difficult for many people. Resonate missionaries Abe and Elaine Lee, who serve with All Nations Seminary in Mexico, ask you to pray for families nearby who are affected by unemployment and food shortages. They ask you to especially pray for a Christian school located in a slum, where alumni of the seminary serve as directors.

  • Pray for the many young adults attending university who struggle with mental health. May they find strength, comfort, and healing. Pray for Resonate campus ministers and for campus counselors, faculty, and staff as well.

  • Resonate missionaries Stan and Bessie Kruis in the Philippines ask you to pray for one of Stan's students at Asian Theological Seminary. "He is actively evangelizing—mainly through the internet—during this lockdown," said Stan. "People are responsive and he doesn't have enough time to follow up with new believers along with working on his studies." Ask the Holy Spirit to sustain his work and provide more believers to help disciple people.

Your Prayer Matters!

Ramadan, a time of devout praying and fasting for Muslims ended on Saturday, May 23. We asked you to pray that as Muslims sought God during this time, they would find Jesus.

Thank you for praying! A Resonate partner church planter who works with Muslims in Michigan said that many of the people he ministers with have been more open to the gospel.

Please continue to pray for Muslims throughout the world. Ask the Holy Spirit to open hearts to the gospel.
