Oprah can't be the only one. 

Every issue of SOULACY opens with a quote that has some relevance to the overall theme or feeling of the issue. 

I look for quotes 1) by women, 2) from books, 3) from women who have made a positive impact in the world. 

It always starts with a Google search followed by me going to the Goodreads result. 

And the MONEY special was no different. 

Except this time it kind of was, . 

When I was looking for a quote I started with looking for something on abundance. And every single quote I found from a women was about abundance in general. Which is great and amazing and lovely and all the things, but I wanted something that talked about money, wealth. There was nothing - at least not from a woman. There was a lot of abundance talk about wealth from men, but when women were talking about abundance it was everything but money or wealth. 

So then I search for quotes by women (authors) about wealth. And I clicked through more result pages than I ever have and the ONLY quote that was by a woman was by Oprah. Now, we all love Auntie O, but she cannot be the only one of us talking about wealth. 

Oprah got the nod in our MONEY special (screenshot below) but knowing what I know from being inside the world of SOULACY and putting together two years of MONEY specials, I KNOW there are so many women talking about wealth and money in the world, they just don't have a broad enough platform or audience to get much notice. 

And that is why our MONEY special and everything we do at SOULACY is so important. We need to have platforms where we can be heard. Where we can show that women can safely, confidently, proudly, and passionately talk about wealth and money and everything that goes along with it. We need spaces that spotlight the women who are talking about MONEY so more of us feel comfortable doing it and more of us have the knowledge to create more wealth and money for ourselves.

Oprah cannot be the only one. 

Let's commit together to speak more openly about these topics so we can begin to change the tide. Because when women have money and wealth, and therefore more power, I am positive the world will change for the betterment of everyone. And SOULACY is going to be a part of that.
