Dear USET/USET SPF Family,

The Department of the Interior has issued a Dear Tribal Leader Letter announcing a virtual engagement between Tribal Leaders and the White House Council on Native American Affairs’ (WHCNAA) Education Committee leadership. This engagement is focused on receiving guidance and feedback from Tribal Leaders on Native Language initiatives and implementation of Executive Order 14049, “White House Initiative on Advancing Educational Equity, Excellence, and Economic Opportunity for Native Americans and Strengthening Tribal Colleges and Universities.” During this engagement the WHCNAA Education Committee will provide updates on its work and federal agencies will share information about existing Native Language resources, upcoming Tribal consultations, and other planned initiatives.
