The sign-up for academic contests has begun. Please contact your
room parent to sign up by 10/13/2024. The academic volunteer opportunities
include: Recitation Contest (12/15/2024), Chinese New Year Festival
(1/26/2025), and Vocabulary Contest (5/4/2025). Please refer to School Service-point Tasks

【ECS Star Team】
Congratulations! ECS Star Team Won the 1st Place in the 5th Multimedia Application Contest NEW
The contest was on 9/21 and the award ceremony was at the Confucius Memorial Ceremony on 9/28. The participants are from Chinese schools and mainstream schools across the metro DC area. Congratulations to the two outstanding ECS students: Darrell Kao from H2A and ECS TA Jennifer Dobson for winning 1st place with a $1000 award!
Join ECS Star Team- Chinese Phrases Contest NEW
The Registration for the team begins now. Qualified students are welcome!
● ECS Registration Due Date: 10/6/2024
● ECS Star Phrases Team Training: Zoom meeting every Sunday at 8:00pm starting from 10/6/24.
● WMACS Contest Date: 11/9/2024 (Saturday), 12:45 pm-3pm
● Eligibility:
○ ECS students from 3rd to 10th grade in the Zhuyin class (the priority would give to students at ECS for 3+ consecutive years)
○ Students live in the US for at least 5 years

2024 ECS Ski Trip to Seven Springs: Registration is Open! UPDATED

We have arranged significant discounts again for the Ski Trip to Seven Springs Resort! This is also ECS’ largest fundraiser of the year! Both ECS and Non-ECS families are welcomed to take advantage of the discounts. The discounts apply to both ECS Ski Trip and EPIC Passes:
● ECS Ski Trip
○ Reservation dates from December 22 (Sunday) to December 26 (Thursday). Come for any 2 nights to 5 nights
○ Offer condo options

○ Early Bird Discount: Saves 10% on registration fees if you register by October 20th
○ Registration will be confirmed with the receipt of either check or Paypal for the confirmed lodging amount.

○ EPIC Passes can be used all season long at ANY Participating Vail resorts (Liberty Resort, Whitetail or other participating Vail Resorts)
