Next week we are hosting our Biggest Ever Transition Expo - 6th
September at Auckland Netball Centre, 9am -2pm, 7 Allison Ferguson Drive, St Johns and you are most warmly invited.
Suitable for all school leavers with disabilities ages 14-25, their whānau and the communities who support them. This free event addresses the question “What will be available when I leave school?”.
Over 100 exhibitors have registered, and we are expecting 800+ attendees. New initiatives of note:
- NZ Disability Employment Network is hosting Employment Conversations - Te Whatu Ora, Adecco, KPMG, Westpac and Sudima Hotels. For students and school leavers with disabilities this is an opportunity to explore potential roles and careers in health, medicine, banking, consultancy, hospitality or electrical engineering that simply don’t exist in school career evenings.
- Sign Language Interpreters on hand all day to facilitate conversation with Deaf or Deaf disabled.
- Auckland Libraries- VR, talking books, sensory resources and so much more!!!
