Salon58 finally welcomes back the public for the first Soirée Salon58 of the new 2022-2023 season! We look forward to seeing you at 7pm this Saturday, October 1st to meet the artists and discover their work during an informal and warm presentation.

The Regroupement québécois de la danse and the Regards Hybrides' Screendance squad invite professional artists to take part in the new formation program Réaliser un projet de cinédanse, de l'idéation à la mise en marché: théories et pratiques. With a total duration of 62 hours and divided into 9 modules, including 4 webinars and 5 face-to-face practical workshops, this training series is offered à la carte or in its entirety.

The series will be spread over several months and starts with a practical training on October 8th and 9th with Priscilla Guy at Parbleux Studio in Montreal. The theme of this training is Exploration with analog and digital home tools.

L'Hybride - café & bookstore is now open near Marsoui beach! Drop by Tuesday to Friday from 9am to 3pm, or Saturdays from 11am to 4pm!

- Until October 1st, bring in a plant or clipping to brighten up L'Hybride, we'll give you a free coffee;

- The menu is currently being consolidated and will be slightly improved over the next few weeks, but will always focus on simple local products;

- The mini-branch of L'Euguélionne feminist bookstore is up and running, with only a few copies of each title, in order to promote a rotation of books over the weeks;

- Internet is available for work or for scrolling through your social medias, as well as our wi-fi printer and multiple power outlets;

- In the coming weeks, L'Hybride will be available for one-time rentals outside of its normal business hours. A group meeting? A family dinner? A knitting or cookie making workshop? The space will be there for you!

It is a great joy for us to succeed all the people who made this place alive. A special thought for Lucien Tardif and Louise Ouellet, who ran a restaurant here for years and who were the very first people I met in Marsoui! Just after visiting the house that was to become Salon58, it is in this small building near the beach that I ate a two-eggs-and-bacon breakfast and discussed with these two so nice people, who made me want to come back! Thank you both, we are honored to take over!
