A WORD IN DUE SEASON

Dear Friends,
At the end of October, my husband and I spent a few days in Lancaster County to celebrate our 52nd wedding anniversary. What struck me most was that not a single house that I saw was decorated for Halloween. Some houses had beautiful pumpkins and corn husks from the area, but only as a touch of autumn, not Halloween.
I contrasted that with my own hometown that looks like the pit of hell at this time of year. We are in a spiritual battle with the forces of Satan that is increasing day by day as the Lord's return draws closer and closer.
Are you ready? Our Lord will return when we least expect it. We must be ready for His return.
Let us pray that He will find us all faithful to His Word and to His work upon His return.

Miracle at Madville
Several years ago, I wrote a musical titled Miracle at Madville. It is a fairytale set in medieval times and features a beautiful princess, a charming prince, and a battle for her hand. Well, I am so excited to share that, by God's grace, I have found a wonderful composer to write the music for this theatrical production. His name is Danny Scott. Danny holds a degree in musical composition and has extensive experience in theatre. I am praising God for sending Danny my way.
Miracle at Madville will also be published in book format as a storybook for children of all ages. It is currently being illustrated by outstanding artist and illustrator, Doina Paraschiv. Doina illustrated another of my children's books titled The Dandelion Patch.
I will keep you posted on both the progress of the musical and the book.

Breakfast Egg Casserole
(From the Kitchen of Dominic Diorio)

Ingredients:
- 2 lbs. Ground Sausage (pork or turkey)
- 12 Eggs
- 1 cup sour cream (light or regular)
- 1/4 cup milk
- Salt and Pepper, to taste
- 4 Green Onions
- 2 cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a
9 x13-inch pan with cooking spray or butter.
- Combine the eggs, sour cream, milk, cheese and salt and pepper in a large bowl. Mix by hand or on low speed with an electric mixer until combined. Do not overmix.
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add sausage and cook until browned, breaking it into small pieces. Drain most of the grease and add the sausage to the bowl with the egg mixture.
- Pour mixture into greased 9 x13-inch pan and bake for 35-50 minutes or until the edges are set and the center just barely jiggles.
