May 21st-23rd
(Panel discussions)
May 22nd, 2 PM (Walkshop)
This year ECO Solidarity returns with an exhibition and two-panel discussions at WantedDesign Manhattan, Javits Center. The initiative will feature design with empathy through the work of designers and studios from 9 European countries addressing the most urgent conditions of human health in response to the environmental and humanitarian crises.
Through sharing research and resources on the newest sustainable design solutions and engaging in actions and interventions, ECO Solidarity aims to redirect future ways of post-war public and living spaces, and shared environments.
'Neo-Futuristic Walks: New York' is a part of the ECO Solidarity program in WantedDesign Manhattan 2023, presented by the Lithuanian Culture Institute and 'Architektūros Fondas'.
The Neo-futuristic Walks project was initiated in 2020 by two spatial designers, Aušra Česnauskytė and Goda Verikaitė. The project was presented as a performative tour in 2021 in London (UK) and Vilnius (LT).
In 2022-2023, Neo-futuristic Walks, as a series of walkshops, has already travelled to Utrecht (NL), Kaunas (LT), Brussels (BE), and The Hague (NL).
