AV technicians and videographers prepare to live stream an event

Hi . We can certainly say this spring event season is unprecedented. We're working with our partners and clients to reschedule their fundraisers and transform galas into virtual events. We're also bracing for more changes as COVID-19 news breaks daily.

In this month's newsletter, we've included resources, examples, and ideas for live streaming your event. We also want to look to the future, when our calendars are again booked with amazing in-person events and media projects. You'll find articles about filming with drones and the importance of an audiovisual walk-through in this email, too.

Please reach out anytime. We are here to help you find success no matter how expected or how unusual the situation might be. We're all in this together.

On the Ground and High Above

Our articles this month focus on an idea for amazing videos and why we want to tag along on your walk-through.

Virtual Events and Live Streaming

If COVID-19 is impacting your event, the show can still go on. Online that is.

The AV Department has virtual event packages that include live streaming from our studio, from your event venue, or staging another location entirely. Be sure to download the COVID-19 Fundraising Event Response Toolkit from our friends at Swaim Strategies and Artisan Auctions for additional strategy and communication guidance. If you want more details about virtual events, check out Oregon Episcopal School's 2020 Auction and Portland Youth Philharmonic's Meet the Musicians fundraiser.

You can also view a virtual event demo on Thursday, March 19 during the webinar "The Show Must Go On—Fundraising Despite the Odds" from Swaim Strategies and Greater Giving. Learn more and register for the webinar.

Client Spotlight

We have the honor of working with great clients. Each month, we highlight two clients and their recent projects.

Portland Youth Philharmonic

Nearing its 100th anniversary, Portland Youth Philharmonic (PYP) is the oldest continuously operating youth orchestra in the U.S.

The AV Department worked with PYP to transform their annual Meet the Musicians fundraiser from an in-person benefit breakfast to a live streaming virtual event to raise vital funds for young musicians in the community.

Young people want to shape the world and Camp Fire Columbia provides the opportunity to find their spark, lift their voice, and discover who they are.

The story of Sharon, and her passion for photography, highlights the impact Camp Fire Columbia has in the lives of children, their families, and our community. We were proud to help produce this video.
