Here's hoping your Thanksgiving Day was delightful and that you are now officially taking advantage of the chance to #OptOutside.
Save the shopping for tomorrow and #SmallBusinessSaturday or, in the case of PPFF's online store, #CyberMonday. We're ready!
Of course, a heartfelt Thank You goes to all the terrific people who took part in last week's ExtraGive. If you didn't get a chance to click that link during the 24-hour Extravaganza, donations are always welcome at our online portal.
Here in Tropical Confluence, the three inches of snow we received last week were quite short-lived but the hope is that we'll have more, especially in a couple of weeks for that all important White Christmas. If you saw any of the even international news coverage of the National Road bridge that once crossed the Youghiogheny River, you know that water levels are at an historic low locally. A little bit of help was given to the feeder streams but barely a dent has been made in Yough Lake.
While we are not doing the snowbird thing this year (making my better half quite distraught), we do know that snow is really needed.
So it seems worthwhile this week to concentrate on some snow pictures for your enjoyment. Can't go wrong starting with this lovely shot by the ever-talented Linda Stager at Leonard Harrison. This is one three photos shared to our Exploring PA Parks & Forests Book of Faces, all of which are grand. That's quite a different view from when we were there for our board retreat in August!
