Eminent psychologist, National Academy member to join Florida State faculty

Norman Anderson, an eminent psychologist and member of the National Academy of Medicine, will join the Florida State University faculty with primary appointments as a research professor in both the College of Social Work and the College of Nursing. Thrasher joins FAMU, TCC presidents in signing unity resolution

Florida State University President John Thrasher, Florida A&M University Interim President Larry Robinson and Jim Murdaugh, president of Tallahassee Community College, joined forces to sign a resolution for educational and civil unity during a celebration to honor Martin Luther King Jr. Wednesday, Jan. 11, at the Leon County Courthouse. 29th Annual MLK Week

Florida State University will honor the legacy of the late Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. by hosting its 29th Annual MLK Week beginning Tuesday, Jan. 17, through Saturday, Jan. 21. The weeklong celebration will include events inspired by the theme “Unfolding The Dream.” Headlining the week is “An Evening with Marc Lamont Hill” at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan.17, at Ruby Diamond Concert Hall. Policy Pub: 'Robot Cars, Transportation and the Future of Florida'

Policy Pub, the informative social series of topical talks and discussions presented by the Florida State University College of Social Sciences and Public Policy, returns for three new sessions this semester. The series kicks off with a presentation by Tim Chapin, professor of urban and regional planning and interim dean of the College of Social Sciences and Public Policy, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17, at Backwoods Bistro, 401 E.
