1. Beaches — Chicago beaches officially opened this past weekend, just in time for perfect 80F days we've been having! Even if the lake is still chilly the sand is soft and warm. There is no better way to spend a hot day than at one of the Chicago's fantastic beaches with skyline views. Ohio Street Beach (pictured above), Oak Street Beach, North Avenue Beach, Montrose Beach, and 12th Street Beach are just a few of my favs.
2. Rooftop Cinema Club — I went to the opening weekend of Rooftop Cinema Club at the Emily Hotel, and I freaking LOVED the experience (pictured below)! I saw 10 Things I Hate About You while siting in a cushy lounger at sunset with a massive bowl of popcorn, surrounded by skyscraper views. If you do one outdoor movie experience this summer make it this one!
3. US Sail Grand Prix — For the first time, the US Sail Grand Prix is in Chicago, and the races are happening right on Lake Michigan from June 18-19! You can catch all the action from Navy Pier as 9 national teams race hydro-foiling 50-foot race boats that "literally fly over the water" at 60+mph.
4. Pixar Putt — If you are a mini-golf fanatic (like me), you will love the new Pixar-themed pop-up mini-golf experience at Navy Pier. The course has 18 holes decorated with Pixar's most beloved stories and characters from movies like Toy Story, Wall-E, Coco, Finding Nemo, and Monsters Inc.
5. Jack's Big City Ranch — You may already be familiar with Jack's famous pop-up experiences like Jack's Pumpkin Pop-Up (a massive, fall-gone-wild pop-up). The same team is launching a new experience inspired by the show Yellowstone and featuring mechanical bulls, gem mining, go kart racing, axe throwing (I'm so excited to try this!), and one-of-a-kind photo ops. I'll be at the Big City Ranch media preview event next week, and I'll take you along on Stories!
