More great things...
Show Up. Be Seen. Stand Out. Are You Game?

Hello again,

Welcome back to the "Great Things" newsletter! My great thing this week has been...surviving the week 😫

I've had a stinking cold, and we've been continuing to deal with a hugely tantrum-ing child in the family and get to the root cause of it. As we keep saying to all 4 kids, it's better to feel and deal with the emotions now than having to spend years in therapy age 40+ addressing them.

In other news, I received this in the mail this week ❀️

Onwards to the latest Great Thing that's had an impact on me...

The Latest & Greatest

Below is an AMAZING thread about therapy as a tool and why it's not yet mainstream...

I see a therapist every 2-3 weeks; it has been invaluable not only in the process of exploring my adoption and trying to reconnect with my birth family, but also for my own personal growth, emotional regulation and the key relationships in my life.

Because of my experience, I too get frustrated by many folks' disparaging views on therapy but I can understand why.

So this thread is fascinating and hugely useful – and not just relevant for therapy; it can be made relevant to ANY healing modality, wellness modality or coaching...

[Note: This was my top take-away –Thus, the real way to destigmatize therapy is to rebrand it altogether:Β Away from PATHOLOGY & STIMGA and towards PERFORMANCE & PRESTIGE.]

Websites That Work

While we build custom websites, we also build 'starter' websites – basic but effective websites for folk who need a more robust presence online than just a FB page or an Insta profile – for Β£250.

These type of websites are ideal if you're looking to showcase who you are/what you do online without needing to update it regularly, though it's also very simple to add a blog if you want to start blogging (also a great way to get started online).Β Details here.

Showing UpΒ

It took a while – I'm so not used to writing long-form content these days! – but my post on Why The Future of Work Is You (And Not The Technology You Use) is finally out. This, to me, is where the future of work/location independence etc. conversation gets really interesting!

Being Seen

I've been connecting with a lot more folk in different online communities recently; it's been a really valuable exercise to have fresh eyes on the work I do, how I present it and how it's seen/received. Despite years of experience, it's still hard to predict what others will see!Β

The OFFER πŸ‘‰πŸ½ If you'd like a fresh-yet-experienced set of eyes on your own work and how you're showing up and presenting it online, let me know.

I have reserved 5 x 1 hour slots throughout November at a *very* affordable rate. Reply to this email directly for details.

In the meantime, I would love to hear if you're doing something great that you'd like to share, personal or professional...just hit 'reply' and drop me a line.
