Tuesday afternoon included a frustrating phone call from Marci. Apparently, the office had been hearing repeatedly from senior citizens who had received telephone calls from people claiming to be from PPFF asking for money. Please note (and tell anyone who might relate a similar story) that we never, repeat NEVER, call anyone and solicit donations. You may receive a call from one of our hard-working board members thanking you for a donation but it is just that - a thank you.

Please, please, please do not give your credit card information to anyone who calls and says they are from PPFF. [Well, unless there's been a problem with a payment you have already made that I need to fix in our database. And then I will undoubtedly have emailed you ahead of time.] 

If you receive (or someone you know receives) such a call, please file a complaint with the AG's office. Their complaint form can be found here.

As for the masthead, I am certain I've included Fred Woods Trail photos as features in past Fridays as I always find them astonishing. Daniel's whole series (of which this is but one) are just terrific. Bucket list! (I made it our jigsaw this week, too.)

We mentioned last week that PPFF recently commissioned a poll to examine voter attitudes towards investing American Rescue Plan funds into park and forests maintenance. What percentage of Pennsylvanians support this investment? Did the big blue 67% in the story above the question give a hint? It was meant to, even if the story above actually referenced a different question. Yikes. So here's a better overview of the poll results!
