VENERO ARMANNO
It’s hard for me to believe the day has finally arrived when Nicky, Pete, Tamsin—and I guess many other folk I don’t know of (yet)—will release not one, not two, but three of my works into the publishing wild.
They’ve got two very long novellas (THUNDER ON THE MOUNTAIN and THE RAYS SLIP AWAY) and a lovely new edition of my 2012 novel, BLACK MOUNTAIN.
This is an exciting time for me and I hope PS readers will get as much pleasure from my books as I do from writing them.
In fact I’m well over thirty years into my craft now, having published my first book way back in 1992, and, in reality, having started writing in earnest a hell of a long time before that (ten unpublished—unpublishable—novels written through the 1980s . . . you gotta start to learn somehow, right?).
Since 1992 I’ve published about a dozen books, lots of short stories, won or been short-listed for literary awards, somehow got awarded a Commonwealth Medal for Services to Literature, and made a nice career for myself in the academic world (The University of Queensland), a job which, believe it or not, I love passionately.
Anyway, enough humble bragging. If anyone is interested in taking a deeper look at my career and books then try this new website, which only went live this week:

So a little about these new PS publications . . .
I’m so thrilled to have my new stories out in the world. My next ambition: a visit and a cup of tea or otherwise at the legendary PS Towers! Thank you so much everyone.
