Did you know the Nicholson School of Communication and Media has an anonymous survey for feedback and comments?

Through this survey, you can let the Nicholson School administration know your questions, comments, ideas, concerns, etc. School leaders are especially interested in any questions/thoughts/concerns folks may have as it relates to the school’s transition into the College of Sciences.

While this survey is anonymous, there is an option to input your information if you wish to be contacted. To access the survey, please click here.

Possible Research Collaboration with Dr. S. Ama Wray

Dr. S. Ama Wray, associate professor at UC Irvine, is looking for interested faculty to collaborate with her on research studies. She works in the field of Embodiology. This is enhanced communication that uses the entire body, it is much more than the spoken word.

If you know of faculty who might be interested in an initial conversation about this discipline and possible collaboration, please share this information and have them reach out to her.

New Formatting Requirements for NSF Biosketch and Current & Pending Support

NSF hosted an Electronic Research Administration webinar May 14, 2020, see the presentation here. The purpose was to update the research community on NSF-approved formats for the Biographical Sketch and Current and Pending (C&P) Support Sections of NSF proposals submitted or due on or after June 1, 2020. If the NSF-approved formats are not used, NSF Fastlane, Research.gov and Grants.gov will produce an error and prevent proposal submission.

Approved formats for creating the Biosketch and C&P Support documents are listed below:

If you would like to use the fillable PDF options in preparation for this update, COS Pre-Award is utilizing the support of our student assistants to prepare for this transition. Please send an email to cospreaward@ucf.edu, Subject: NSF Biosketch and Current & Pending Support and attach your most recent version of both documents. If your NSF proposal is due in the month of June mark it ! High Importance to prioritize assistance.

Also, we will use this time to review the status of C&P proposals. If you have received correspondence from the sponsor about the review status, let the College of Sciences know and they will notify OR of any status updates.
