EOSC-ENTRUST publishes updated blueprint and interoperability framework for federated data access and analysis

The EOSC-ENTRUST project has published the second version of its Blueprint and Interoperability Framework, presenting updated architecture and operational, legal and technical components to support federated access to sensitive research data across Europe. A key focus of the updated version is secure and interoperable processing of sensitive data, with emphasis on Authentication, Authorisation and Auditing Infrastructure, shared identity management and secure data processing mechanisms.

Highlights of the EOSC-ENTRUST workshop on enabling data sovereignty through Trusted Research Environments

On 25 February 2026, EOSC-ENTRUST held an online workshop to discuss data sovereignty through Trusted Research Environments (TREs) in European Data Spaces. The workshop explored how initiatives such as the European Open Science Cloud and emerging European Data Spaces can enable responsible data sharing while respecting legal, ethical and privacy requirements.

Second deployable demonstrator of digital objects and workflows

This deliverable presents the updated deployable demonstrator of digital objects and workflows. This updated version has improved deployment realism within the Five Safes framework, which includes compliant executions, strengthened provenance and enhanced federated interoperability. The Demonstrator is now a fully deployable, federated prototype with capacity to run a cross-TRE data pooling federated analysis.

Provider adoption and evaluation report of Year 2 blueprint and technology

The report outlines the work done during the second year of the project in the Providers Work Package and draws out recommendations to support adoption efforts and EOSC integration. It includes the second TRE inventory, development of the requirements management framework, the launch of the Open TRE Provider Forum and a Blueprint adoption and EOSC-readiness analysis.
