2. "Sick note culture" jibe blasted

The Prime Minister's decision to improve the chances of sick people returning to work by removing the decision about the state of their health from a qualified medical person in favour of an official with no medical training was quietly accompanied by the scrapping of the scheme designed to help disabled people into employment.

No wonder the disabled community feels they are the target of a "full-on assault".

3. Seating assessments for dementia

4. New Mini WashPod

Dignity Access has launched the Mini WashPod - a modular, disabled wetroom - bringing their range to eight models.

The Mini Internal WashPod is perfect for situations where space is at a premium, but accessible toileting and bathing is still needed.

It was developed from the Micro, which is the smallest in the range, but where the Micro is just a shower unit, the Mini offers a toilet as well, with only a minimal addition to the footprint.

5. Campaign to End Loneliness closes

The Campaign to End Loneliness was set up in 2011 to tackle a widespread but largely unacknowledged problem. Among its achievements, probably the most notable was inspiring the British government to become the first in the world to appoint a Minister for Loneliness.

At the end of this month, the Campaign is closing, though the issue it was set up to combat is far from dealt with.
