For the past year we've been stuck in the most cramped middle seats on our metaphorical (and long-delayed) journey back to travel. Well, today we got a sweet psychological upgrade to Premium Economy, in a manner of speaking.
With vaccine data showing impressive efficacy and increasing numbers among us having received our jabs, the CDC issued a significant announcement today, updating both its domestic and international travel guidelines for those who have been fully vaccinated.
I hope you're as excited and heartened by this news as I am. We are still advised to follow many existing precautions, and testing for re-entry after international travel is still required, but this update is a most welcome change and a hopeful sign. For complete details, visit the CDC website.
As more destinations open up and government advice eases, availability issues may rise--along with prices. This is an unpredictable market but planning ahead is always advisable. The days of a cheap, last-minute "vaccinated getaway" may be coming to a quick end.
The encouraging news for travelers just keeps coming. I can help strategize your travel planning for the next 18 to 24 months as we ease our way back to moving about the cabin, the country, and the world--when YOU are ready.
One other note: if you are intrigued by our Small Group Trips program but haven't had the chance to complete the Mon Voyage Small Group Trips survey for next year, please take a moment to do so. In light of this news from the CDC, I am extending the survey deadline until Monday, April 5th.
Best wishes for a wonderful week ahead and sweet travel dreams!
