Every time I listen to this, I pull out a new insight. The biggest lesson I learned from the talk is that our most innate desire is to feel validated or important. Most of our interpersonal issues stem from leaving these questions unaddressed: "Did you hear me?", "Did what I say mean anything to you?" She's also a paragon of authenticity, so lots to learn there as well. You'll walk away from this a better leader and a happier person.

I was deeply inspired by this essay. He presented a very persuasive argument that was distinct from other articles on this clichéd topic. As a long-time programmer and renowned investor in Silicon Valley, I was surprised to see him approach the topic so personally with reference to his family.
